While man seeks to elevate himself, even to the point of reaching the stars, he has also always striven to master space in all of its dimensions.

He places himself on a map, within a territory, developing strategies for mobility and expansion.

The map is an essential tool that has allowed Man to better understand the world and the environment, and to mark his place in it.

What is more, being unable to change his natural geographical boundaries, Man has developed other means, techniques and technologies of mobility and communication to rid himself of these barriers.

The notions of distance and proximity, over the centuries, have literally been transformed. In the end, space and time themselves are altered.
